What a lovely place the Ilhan hotel is.... The hotel is basic and very clean. It has excellent service and a fabulous location. Breakfast is typically Turkish and consists of fresh white bread, honey, jam, olives, tomatoes and cucumber with plenty of tea. The family who run the hotel are charming and are on hand to offer advice or just to have a chat as and when you feel like it. The hotel is in the heart of the old town of Side ( Sea - day ) and is a great base for a relaxing yet interesting holiday. Although the ruins of the ancient amphitheatre are just a stones throw from the hotel and there are plenty of cafes, shops and restaurants nearby the hotel has a quiet atmosphere allowing you a very decent sleep. The sea is also just a few minutes walk from the Ilhan making the location just perfect with all amenities at your fingertips. I have just returned and already booked again for September!

Having visited many Greek Islands, Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Italy, we finally struck gold in 2004 when we found the Hotel Ilhan in Side. This family run hotel is a gem, friendly owners and staff. Situated in beautiful gardens 5 minutes from two lovely beaches and bustling Side town. It is perfectly set. There are many historic sites to visit including an amphitheatre close by for those more energetically inclined. We are returning in June for our 14th visit and cannot wait.
